Sunday School
Sunday school is one of the church’s most powerful ways to affirm the Word of God as the foundation for living the Christian life. Our focus is to educate our children in the faith and traditions of the Malankara Orthodox Church. “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it” Proverbs 26:6.
The Sunday school Ministry has a volunteer staff of 30 members who organize, train, teach, and minister to a Sunday school Student body of 75 members. The school year starts in September and extends to June. Classes are held regularly every Sunday after the Holy Qurbana from 12:00 to 1:00pm. The Sunday school has age-level classes beginning with Pre-K to 12th grade using the Diocese approved self-paced study textbook and workbook each year. Apart from the curriculum, the children also participate in activities such as Lenten Retreat, Summer Faith Series, Hadootho, and Agni-Middle School camp and various charity events.
We submit ourselves before our Lord Almighty for his abundant blessings for the continuous growth of our Sunday School Ministry. We are thankful for the guidance from our Achen, the support of the parents and teachers to help our Sunday School become more successful and reach new heights each year.
